Abundance: common (usually seen) 
Comments: Common around reefs throughout the coast. Taken with hook and line and spears by game fishers. The combined daily limit for all sculpin and rockfish species caught ranges from 5 to 8 depending on the area (Ref. 11007). Caught in Howe Sound near Vancouver (Ref. 91783). Occurs off Texada Island and Defence Islands (Ref. 95159). Also Ref. 4925, 95143. In range Ref. 2850.
