Type locality, top of seamount in Foundation Seamount chain, over 2100 km south-east of Pitcairn Island, NMNZ P.31466 (holotype of Latris pacifica, 47 cm SL). Locally abundant at the Foundation Seamounts on the eastern edge of the Pacific Plate, just west of the East Pacific Ridge (Ref. 76767). |
