Type locality, south-east of North Stradbroke Island, Queensland, CSIRO H 6630-01 (holotype of Dipturus endeavouri, 31.8 cm TL, adult male). An eastern Australian endemic, occurring from Fraser Island, Queensland (25°27′ S, 153°46′ E), southward to at least Yamba, New South Wales (29°21′ S, 153°47′ E); and possible records from Coffs Harbour and south to Newcastle (Ref. 75648).
