No specimens have been found from the Loosahatchie River since 1954; may have once occurred in the Forked Deer drainage, but is now extirpated due to extensive channelization in that system. In Tennessee, with conservation status rank of S3 (vulnerable); sporadic and perhaps seasonal in abundance, but not rare in Mississippi (Ref. 55397).
