Comments

Introduced to Sumatra, Borneo, Java and Sulawesi (Ref. 7050). Introduced in Danau Sentarum National Park in the Kapuas basin, Kalimantan Barat, Borneo in order to increase the fisheries productivity but introduction did not result to establishment. This species now occurs only in some swampy areas along the Kapuas mainriver. See also Ref. 8984 for nominal catches. Also Ref. 1739, 9987, 2847.
