Introduced to Sumatra, Borneo, Java and Sulawesi (Ref. 7050). Introduced in Danau Sentarum National Park in the Kapuas basin, Kalimantan Barat, Borneo in order to increase the fisheries productivity but introduction did not result to establishment.
