Known from coastal Tanzania rivers and islands (Ref. 118630), including Kingani River [= Ruvu River] (Ref. 2, 118638), Lake Mansi (Ref. 118630), Wami River (Ref. 2, 118638), Rufiji River and its tributaries Kilombero and Great Ruaha below the Mtera Dam (Ref. 2, 118638), and Mbwemburu River (Ref. 2). Populations in Zanzibar and Pemba may be native, although there may also have been some stocking from the mainland (Ref. 2, 4537, 118638). |
