Found in small stream tributary to Black Sea (Ref. 41095). Known from the Anatolian Black Sea watersheds. Also Ref. 106151. Threatened due to habitat loss, eutrophication/pollution, construction of weirs/dams in rivers and water abstraction (Ref. 58342).

Status of threat: Critically Endangered (Ref. 58342). "nEurTurk."
