Continuously distributed in coastal streams and rivers from the Bristol Bay region southward and as far west as Kiska I. in the Aleutian chain (Ref. 10280). An isolated population is found in the Kobuk River, some 800 km north of the nearest Bristol Bay fish (Ref. 27547). Locally abundant (Ref. 5723). Also Ref. 1998, 6876, 10280, 11366.
