Known only from the Northwest Territories and British Columbia (Ref. 52559). Found in Nass (Pacific Slope) and Peace River (Arctic basin) systems in British Columbia; also in Vancouver, British Columbia and Mackenzie River drainage (Arctic basin) in Northwest Territories (Ref. 86798). Report from Athabasca River, Alberta is an error (Ref. 1998). A commercial fishery once existed; no longer occurring (Ref. 52559). Also Ref. 5723, 119194.
