Occurs in northern Canada south to British Columbia; rarely caught as a game fish (Ref. 52559). Occasionally sold in large Canadian cities. Has been used as human and dog food in the north; potential sport fishery in Great Slave Lake (Ref. 1998). Also Ref. 5723, 119194, 118443.
