Found in most streams and lakes of Alaska north of the Alaska range, and from Bristol Bay to the arctic coast (Ref. 27547). Also present throughout the Kuskokwim and Yukon drainages (Ref. 27547). The anadromous form ranges from Arctic drainages to Bristol Bay; the non-anadromous form occurs in the upper Yukon River drainage and lakes near Bristol Bay (Ref. 5723).
