Comments

The goldern form has been introduced throughout the country. Known from the European Black Sea watersheds, Western, central and eastern Anatolian lake watersheds, Anatolian Black Sea watersheds, Aegean Sea watersheds, Anatolian Mediterranean Sea watersheds, Asi Nehri/Orontes watershed, Gulf watersheds (Firat Nehri, Dicle Nehri) and Caspian Sea watersheds (Ref. 58342). Found in park and garden ponds in various parts of the country. Is now common in many natural aquatic habitats. Introduced in the Eğirdir Lake in the 1990s. Recorded from the Keban dam (Ref. 27435), Kizilirmak River and Karacaören I Dam Lake (Ref. 57271). Threatened by construction of weirs/ dams in rivers and water abstraction (Ref. 58342).
