The species is produced in farms with geothermal water supply. Some specimens have been observed in reservoirs receiving warm water effluents, where even overwintering of stock is possible. Reproduction under natural conditions appears improbable (Ref. 13738). FAO reports aquaculture production from the country (Ref. 46247). |
