Known from Western Ghats in Cauvery and Tungabhadra river systems (Karnataka) and Kolhapur (Maharashtra) (Ref. 4832). Also found in Kabani & Bhavani rivers in Kerala; recorded from Sinkaparathodu, Keralamedu (Bhavani river) (Ref. 43638). Also Ref. 37826, 41236, 43641, 45255.
