Found in Lake Kariba (Ref. 27602), Lake Itezhi-tezhi (Ref. 27607), Kafue River system (Ref. 87, 246, 3735, 5269, 13332, 95585) and the Upper Zambezi (Ref. 246, 52737, 52863), including the rivers Kalomo and Lusito (Ref. 355). Introduced fish collected in main channel of Kasanka River and its associated pools (upper Luapula River, upper Congo River basin); possibly escaped from a nearby farm to the Mulembo River during the 2002 rainy season (Ref. 95585).
