Common in slow flowing brackish habitats, reservoirs and ponds. Also found in the sea along the coasts. Very territorial and probably competes with other fish species for breeding territories. Eats snails, invertebrates, and small fish (Ref. 52035). Also Ref. 84946, 108093. |
