Type locality, Sitankai, Sibutu Is., Sulu Archipelago, SU 13601 (holotype of Aprionodon sitankaiensis, 52.8 cm TL, female fetus) (Ref. 280, 33021, 47737). Recorded from Lanuza Bay (Ref. 104756), Samar Sea and San Miguel Bay. Specimens from UPMSI & WWF Elasmobranch Collection from Manila Market; Dumaguete City Public Market in Negros I.; Barra, Puntod, Lopez Jaena and Osucan, Plaridel in Misamis Occidental; Bacong, Negros Oriental; Pasil Fish Market I in Cebu City; San Jose, Taytay in Palawan; Dipolog City Fish Port, Zamboanga; Siquijor in the Visayas (Ref. 47737). Also Ref. 244, 6871, 9997, 28642, 121724.
