Known from Cachorrito de Charco Azul (12255) and Nuevo Leon (Ref. 27139). Found in the Río San Juan system (Ref. 81264). Type locality, interior basin of Llanos de Salas, Aramberri, Nuevo León, Ojo de Agua Charco Azul (= Barreno), UANL 8291 (holotype of Cyprinodon veronicae, 4.42 cm SL, mature male) (Ref. 26729).
