A Lessepsian migrant (Ref. 95871). A 67.4 mm SL specimen was captured off the coast of Batroun (31°15'N, 35°39'E), northern part of the country on May 13, 2010. A second specimen (93 mm SL) was collected north of Beirut, close to Jounieh Bay (33°59N, 35°36'E) May 30, 2010. Samples were deposited at the American University of Beirut (AUBM OS 3672 and AUBM OS 3673). Specimens may either be a Lessepsian migrants or entered via ballast water (Ref. 85233). Also Ref. 96897.
