Found in L'Esperance Rock from surface waters down to 30 m, Napier Island, Stella Passage, Curtis Island (Ref. 89012), Macauley and SE/NE of Raoul Island (Ref. 28787). Abundant in moderate (10-18 m) and deep water (>18 m) (Ref. 89926). Also Ref. 45524, 89444, 88969.
