Recorded from the Ligurian sea. Species presumed to have entered the Mediterranean via Gibraltar (Ref. 43448). Reported from northern Tyrrhenian sea, 42° 5' N, 11° E, about 15 miles SW off the Monte Argentario Promontory (Ref. 86658).
