Found in the Tigris-Euphrates basin, the Orontes (= Asi) River and

the Quwayq River. In Iraq found in the southern marshes, rivers such as the Tigris, Euphrates, Little Zab and Diyala, lakes such as Habbaniyah, Th arthar and Razzazah, and

reservoirs such as Dukan and Derbendikhan (Ref. 109283).
