Known from three localities in the Kol River (Hormuzgan Basin): Korsiah Banaki (near Darab city), Dasht-e-Konar wetland (SE of Darab city), and Golabi spring (near Darab city) (Ref. 95579). Observed in low numbers, thus this species needs to be conserved. Major threats are drought and introduction of alien species, particularly Gambusia holbrooki and Amatitlania nigrofasciata (Ref. 95579).
