This species is reported (as S. lineatus) from Vembanad Kayal, a brackish lake, over 200 km long, that runs parallel to the coast of Kerala State. It is also recorded further south in India from the Gulf of Mannar, where there are extensive coral reef areas (Ref. 95994). |
