Known from Western Ghats: Wynaad (Cauvery drainage) in Kerala and Jagger Valley (Thungabadhra drainage) in Karnataka and considered critically endangered in the area (Ref. 44149). Also found in Kabhani and Chandragiri Rivers (Ref. 43638); Tamiraparani, Moyar and Bhavani Rivers (Ref. 44149). Also Ref. 4833, 43640, 43641, 45255.
