Comments

Reported from Lobster Bay (Ref. 33067), Hoi Ha Wan (Ref. 119713), and Tung Ping Chau (Ref. 119714). Also reported from Mirs Bay, Tolo Channel, and Tolo Harbour (Ref. 126271). Juveniles were recorded from Starfish Bay (Ref. 125536). Few individuals were recorded from a submarine cave in Conic Island. Juveniles common in Hong Kong waters during March and April. Migrates to deeper waters with age (Ref. 125576). The species was observed on 2 to 10 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). Dominant in catches from depths <180 m in July-September (Ref. 12082). Also Ref. 94637.
