The species was only observed on 1 occasion during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). Reported from Tung Ping Chau (Ref. 94637); and near Chek Lap Kok (Ref. 125575). Also reported from Lobster Bay and Sharp Island. Occasionally seen in the aquarium trade. Although not usually found in fish markets, it is sold in dried seafood stalls as a traditional Chinese medicine (Ref. 128523). Also Ref. 129329. |
