Considered as the most widespread non-native fish in Hong Kong. Released by the government for mosquito control during the 1940s (Ref. 129032). Occur in streams, paddy fields, ditches, and reservoirs (Ref. 5258). Recorded from 71 out of 220 sites that were studied (Ref. 125581). |
