Occurs in the Oyapock eastwards to the Mana River. Its presence in the Comté River needs to be confirmed (Ref. 12225). Prefers waters with rapid current, very rarely found in swamps (Ref. 12225). Difficult to capture because it stays among fallen trees at the bottom of rivers (Ref. 27188). Occurrence in this country not confirmed by J.S. Albert; probably a misidentification. |
