Known from the lower Congo River, Pool Malebo, Kasai and Lukenie (Ref. 83752). Reports from the Ubangui and Uélé (Ref. 83752) questionable; the former could not be found back in collection, the second is now re-identified as another species (T. Musschoot, pers. comm.). Type-locality of the syntypes of Gnathonemus christyi: 'Léopoldville' (Ref. 42480). |
