Known from the Lékoli River (Likouala River tributary, middle Congo River basin)(Ref. 85331). Type locality of the holotype of Petrocephalus mbossou: 'Republic of the Congo, Cuvette-Ouest, Lékoli River (Congo basin), small branch of the Lékoli River, only ca. 300 meters long before it re-enters into the main channel of the Lékoli, 0.62°N, 14.91°E' (Ref. 85331). |
