Known from Guangdong Province in the drainages of Han Jiang and its river mouth, Rong Jiang and its river mouth, Bei Jiang, Xi Jiang and Zhu Jiang delta. Also known from Fujian Province (Ref. 47843). Commonly found in the East China Sea and the South China Sea (Ref. 26563). Known from Rongjiang drainage: Rongcheng in Jieyang County; Beijiang drainage: Qingcheng in Qingyuan County; southwest of Qingyuan County, Hekou; Xijiang drainage: Jiangkou in Fengkai County; Ducheng in Yunan County; and Zhaoqing City(Ref.33336).
