Type locality of Microsternarchus brevis. It also occurs in black-water streams along the middle part of the rio Negro Basin (Amazon). It was never captured upriver of the town of São Gabirel da Cachoeira nor below the confluence of the Branco and Negro rivers (Ref. 104297). |
