Type locality, east of Sydney, New South Wales, CSIRO H 891-01 (holotype of Dipturus wengi, 105.0 cm TL, early adolescent male). Known from the continental slope off tropical and temperate eastern Australia from west of Lihou Reef & Cays, Queensland (16°54′ S, 151°30′E) southward to Bicheno, Tasmania (ca. 42° S, 148°E), 486-1049 m. Not recorded in the Great Australian Bight, WA (Ref. 75647). |
