Barbel with a short, stout medial branch arising from barbel stem and a pair of longer, lateral branches arising from medial branch just distal to stem, thin and tapering except for a short side branch, reaching well beyond barbel tip; stem pigment extending to terminal bulb; bulb spheroidal, unpigmented, with six to ten long medial terminal filaments and two or three pairs of smaller lateral filaments (Ref. 45801).
