Benthic at 692-1420 m (Ref. 58302). Adults bathybenthic on continental slope and rise at temperatures generally warmer than 4°C while larvae are pelagic near the surface. Feeds on mysids and decapods. Synchronously hermaphroditic (Ref. 3590). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
