जानवरों की रीड़ का जोड़: 140 - 142. Brownish grey dorsally, creamy white ventrally. Wide dusky margin on median fins.

Inhabits coastal waters and estuaries. Demersal on rocky reefs (Ref. 9563). Flesh highly esteemed.
