পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 4; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 8; পায়ূ কাঁটা 3; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 5. Preserved color brownish dorsally, yellowish on sides and belly, silvery luster all over; lips and snout tip edged with black; fin rays dusky; scales above lateral line outlined by a band of minute black spots. Longitudinally radiating lines on scales. 9 scales between nape and dorsal; 2-2.5 scales between ventral origin and lateral line. Snout pointed.
