Dorsal soft rays (total): 13; Anal soft rays: 8. Hypselobarbus gracilis can be distinguished from H. dubius in having 11 predorsal scale rows (vs. 14), 13-14 circumpeduncular scale rows (vs. 18-19), 23-24 circumferential scale rows (vs. 30-33), 30-31 preanal scale rows (vs. 34-38), and maxillary barbel length 36.25-40.16% HL (vs. 21.23-34.94 %HL). It differs from H. micropogon in having 13-14 circumpeduncular scale rows (vs. 16-18), 23-24 circumferential scale rows (vs. 26-29) and the morphometric characters postdorsal length 55.20-56.49 %SL (vs. 46.99-53.93 %SL) and interorbital width 32.49-33.21 % HL (vs. 34.70-41.76 %HL). Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00933 (0.00422 - 0.02065), b=3.01 (2.82 - 3.20), in cm Total Length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
