Comments: Type locality of Microglanis berbixae from Parroquia de Pacto, Quebrada Sune, a tributary of Pachijal River, Esmeraldas River Basin, Pacific slope, Pichincha Province, Ecuador, MECN-DP-3944. Mainly found in the Sune and Mashpi rivers (Ref. 128950).
