Espinas dorsales (total) : 2; Radios blandos dorsales (total) : 7; Espinas anales: 2; Radios blandos anales: 5. Distinguished from all congeners by following characters: lateral line incomplete, not reaching pelvic fin base; 4-7 perforated scales; middle of flank from gill openings to caudal fin base with dark brown stripe, not widened posteriorly; second light yellowish stripe located above dark brown stripe; body and fins lacking red pigmentation (Ref. 93745).
