เงี่ยงครีบหลัง (รวม): 3; ก้านครีบอ่อนที่หาง (รวม): 7; เงี่ยงครีบก้น 2; ก้านครีบอ่อนที่ก้น: 5; สัตว์มีกระดูกสันหลัง: 37 - 38. Body elongated, cylindrical, snout bluntly pointed, peduncle of caudal compressed; snout subequal to postorbital part of head; barbels 6. Scales minute, invisible, only present on peduncle of caudal. Air bladder entirely enclosed in bony capsule. Without a free portion in abdominal cavity.
