Comments: Known from the Sanaga River basin (Ref. 27691, 81639), including its tributaries Mbam, Djerem and Lom, in the Kelle River (Nyong River tributary) (Ref. 81639) and in the Dja River (middle Congo River basin) (Ref. 1880, 51193, 81639). Type-locality of the holotype of Barbus habereri: 'Dscha, eines sekundären Nebenflusses des Congo im Bezirke Molundu des südlichen Kamerun' (Ref. 52340).
