Common names: [No common name]
Occurrence: endemic
Salinity: freshwater

Aquaculture: | Ref:
Regulations: | Ref:
Uses: live export: yes;
Comments: Reported from the southern Congo River basin (Ref. 120641) at Bange Ngola (Kwango River system, Kasai River drainage) (Ref. 1878). Reports of the species from westward flowing basins in Ref. 11970 is based on Ref. 1878, but the latter only reports the species from the Kwango (Congo basin; see above). Questionably present in the Zambezi (Ref. 120641). Report from the "Cuanza (Atlantic coastal)" (Ref. 120641) probably refers to the Cuanzan drainage basin or Cuanza Ichthyological Province, including various Angolan coastal basins, and not (only) the Cuanza river basin. Also Ref. 3022, 3565, 83360, 83772.

Africa: Kwango drainage (middle Congo River basin) in Angola (Ref. 1878). Also reported from the Kunene and (upper) Zambezi systems (Ref. 13332), although presence in the latter is questionable in Ref. 120641. Presence in the Okavango (Ref. 13332) and southern Kasai (Ref. 45616) uncertain, although considered present in the southern Congo basin in Angola in Ref. 120641.
