Biologie     Glossaire (ex. epibenthic)

Adults inhabit mountain streams and rivers (Ref. 41236), preferring to live among rocks (Ref. 4832). Are herbivores feeding mainly on algae, aquatic plants and detritus (Ref. 6351). Mature individuals breed during April and May (Ref. 4832). The flesh of this species is much relished (Ref. 4832).
