Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 203-221; Rayons mous anaux: 164 - 177; Vertèbres: 117 - 119. Distinguished by the following characters: tail slender and flexible; snout projecting beyond lower jaw, tip fleshy, extending beyond intermaxillary teeth; flange on upper lip rudimentary or absent; adnasal pore absent, some head pores enlarged; teeth moderate to slightly enlarged, intermaxillary patch exposed when mouth closed, vomerine teeth in a short rounded patch; preorbital bone with three ventral projections; stomach and intestine black (Ref. 79665).
