Description synthétique Morphologie | Morphométrie

Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 42; Rayons mous anaux: 36. Can be diagnosed from all other congeners by the following combination of characters: vertebrae 46 (8+38), pectoral-fin rays 26, caudal fin rays 9 (4/5), radials 4, round ; teeth simple, stout canines; chin pores opening in a U-shaped pit opening posteriorly; disk about 1/3 HL, its distance from anus 2.8% SL (10.5% HL); prickles absent; gill opening above pectoral base; head 22.4%; preanal fin length 40.0% SL; snout-anus 25.0 % SL (92.7% HL); and peritoneum pale (Ref. 78379).
