A species of Helcogramma (sensu Hansen, 1986) with 14 symphisial mandibular sensory pore, second dorsal fin spines XIV-XV (one of 11 specimens with XIII), third dorsal fin segmented rays 11-12, last ribs on vertebral centrum 12, vertebrae modally 10+28=38 (value range: 10+27 to 29=37 to 39), pored lateral line scales modally 22 or 23 (value range: 22-25), nape scales present, male with thirs dorsal, caudal and anal fins dark and posterior half of body dark.
具有 14个 symphisial 颚骨感觉小孔的一个 Helcogramma( sensu 汉森, 1986) 的种, 第二背鳍鳍棘 XIV-XV(11件标本之一用 XIII), 第三个背鳍片段了鳍条 11-12, 持续肋骨在椎骨的椎体 12 上, 脊椎骨典型地 10+28=38(价值排列: 10+27 到 29=37 到 39), 有细孔的侧线鳞片典型地 22 或 23(价值范围: 22-25), 后颈鳞片呈现, 雄鱼有 thirs 背鳍、尾鳍与臀鳍深色的与身体的后半段深色的。
Adults are found in rocky boulders of exposed coasts (Ref. 90102). Eggs are hemispherical and covered with numerous sticky threads that anchor them in the algae on the nesting sites (Ref. 240). Larvae are planktonic which occur primarily in shallow, nearshore waters (Ref. 94114).
