Biología     Glosario (por ej. epibenthic)

A demersal species with unknown depth distribution but presumably inhabits outer continental shelf and/or upper slope (Ref. 114953). Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205). Length of specimen (39 cm TL) was based on a young male observed to have developed state of thorn patches on pectoral fins, and presumambly approaching maturity (Ref. 114953).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82805):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00309 (0.00145 - 0.00660), b=3.22 (3.04 - 3.40), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Nivel trófico (Ref. 69278):  3.7   ±0.6 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resiliencia (Ref. 120179):  Bajo, población duplicada en un tiempo mínimo de 4.5-14 años (Assuming fecundity<100).
Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low to moderate vulnerability (33 of 100) .
