الأشواك الظهرية (المجموع): 13; الأشعة الظهرية الناعمة (المجموع): 11-12; شوكة شرجية 2; أشعه شرجية لينه: 11 - 12. Adults gray brown dorsally, often shading white ventrally, with purple- blue markings, many as vertical lines; upper edge of eye bright purple-blue; juveniles blue (Ref. 13442).
